A dynamic and Christ-centered kids church is an integral part of Rocky Mountain Community Church. The time between birth and 5th grade is critical for children to hear and understand the foundations of the Christian faith. We want to partner with you to help your child discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our RMCC Kids Sunday school classes are designed to introduce children to Jesus and get them excited about growing in their faith.Bible-Based: RMCC Kids are taught lessons straight from Scripture in a creative and interactive environment.Kid-Focused : Learning is both fun and relevant for all ages.Value-Driven : A different value is introduced each month. Resources are available for parents to take home on the web and facebook page for weekly activities.Volunteer-Fueled: An amazing team that provides opportunities for participation and connection at every level.
Here at RMCC we protect our children and record attendance by using a computerized check-in system for children birth-5th grade. The check-in system prints security name tags that children are required to wear to enter the classroom. It contains the classroom number your child is attending along with your child’s allergy information.
For your first visit at RMCC you will be directed to the Check-In Center. This center are located to the left of the main RMCC KIDS entrance. You will be asked to fill out a Family Information Card listing your children’s ages, grades and allergies. You will then be given a set of two security check-in tags per child. Place one tag on each child and keep the other tag as your security claim check for pick-up. A Greeter will then walk your family to your children’s classrooms.
PAGING SYSTEMPlease place your cell phone on silent. We will page you if the need arises. If you don’t have a cell phone with you, we will look for you in the Family Room.
The number we will be calling from is 303.918.7890 (RMCC) if you would like to place that number in your cell phone memory.
PICK UPYou will need to show your check-in tab. At the end of the service, you will not be permitted to pick up your child unless you can show a class leader that the number on your check-in stub matches the number on the nametag your child is wearing.
PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN AND STUDENTSWhen children and students are active in a ministry, they are more likely to gain deeper insights from the teaching messages or from their serving opportunities, and will observe more Christ-like examples of servanthood in the adults who are working with them, when they are in a safe setting. Our intent is to provide an environment for children and students to learn, serve and grow securely. Backgrounds checks are required for our volunteers.
If you’re a parent and have questions, call 303.918.7890 or e-mail Katheryn Pranno
YOUR CHILD’S HEALTH
For the protection of all the children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in Sunday School while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our program a healthy place for all.
BIRTH – 1 YEAR, 2 & 3 Years
We are dedicated to providing a safe, baby friendly environment where your child can learn about God. Our nursery is staffed with trained and loving volunteers. Our hope is that you will participate in adult worship in complete confidence that your child is being well taken care of.
PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN
In the Preschool & Kindergarten classes, they start to enjoy large group time where the Bible lesson is creatively presented and enjoy activities to emphasize the Bible lesson.
1st – 3rd Grade
Each Sunday’s large group time brings the Bible to life through dynamic teaching, drama, music and video. During small group time before and after Bible, they engage in activities designed to reinforce their learning, and memorize Bible verses.
4th – 5th Grade
Did you know that 64% of Christians make their commitment to Christ by the time they are 10 years old? This is the reason why RMCC developed a strategy specifically for 4th and 5th grade kids.
On Sundays, kids can connect with friends, experience worship, take part in an interactive Bible message.
Social development is also very critical at this age. We provide social opportunities on occasion to connect with their Christian peers.
We also have places for 4th and 5th graders to serve so they feel connected and learn what it means to contribute time to their church family.
You are invited to visit your child’s room any weekend to see the careful, creative attention Rocky Mountain Community Church gives to your children.
